Content Ideas is one screen per site under Content. It answers what your site is missing, in this order: pages your competitors have that you do not, pages and blog posts your own site is missing, and keywords you already rank 4 to 30 for. Every idea is one row: the keyword, the page type (service, location, blog or product), a plain reason, the competitor pages behind it, and the search volume. A keyword appears once, in the first group that found it, with every source listed.
Competitors first. elev8tor reads the ranking pages of up to five tracked competitors (the same competitor list rank tracking uses) plus the pages that ranked in every scan and brief you have run, groups them by topic, drops any topic your site already has a page for, and ranks the rest by how many competitors cover it times volume. Competitor data is refreshed once a month; scans and briefs are read live.
Missing pages and blogs. Four feeds, merged: researched keywords with 20 or more searches and no matching page; services in your site profile with no page and service areas with no location page; questions your scans found unanswered, grouped under the page they should link up to; and the terms Google shows on page one (related searches, People Also Ask, AI Overview) that none of the ranking pages use.
Where competitors beat you. Tracked keywords ranking 4 to 30, by volume, with the ranking URL ready for a repair or a supporting page.
Suggestion or spec. If the site has no content plan, each idea is a suggestion with Start a brief (0.5 credit), Add to queue, Snooze and Dismiss. If the site has a content plan, meaning Autopilot is on or you saved a posts per month cadence under Settings, Sites, Content plan, the top ideas come with the spec built: target words, H1 and title choices, headings, entities by category with target mentions, questions, schema, and the pages that should link in and out. Specs are briefs, so they cost 0.5 credit each, are built up to your cadence on the plan’s cycle, and never start a write on their own. If credits run short, the queue shows a note for that site.
Refresh. Ideas refresh weekly on their own. The Refresh button runs once a day per site. Dismiss asks for a one line reason and keeps the idea out for 90 days; Snooze is 30 days.
