SEO SOFTWARE FOR SMALL BUSINESS

SEO software for small business owners who want to know what to do

elev8tor is a digital marketing system for owners. It does not just show you numbers: it tells you what to work on this week, which page to fix and what to add to it, and shows which pages bring you calls and form fills. Help videos and tooltips sit on every screen.

Developed by Vertical Web, a Houston SEO agency since 1998, and Beth Guide, with more than 20 years of SEO experience.

WHY OWNERS STRUGGLE WITH SEO TOOLS

Most SEO software is built for specialists. You run a business.

The big SEO suites assume you already know what a referring domain is, why a canonical tag matters and which of 400 warnings to ignore. Owners log in, see a wall of charts, and log out again. The tool was not wrong. It just never said what to do.

elev8tor is our answer: the same engine our agency uses on client sites, our all-in-one SEO platform, with the jargon taken out and the next step put in.

A MARKETING SYSTEM, NOT A DASHBOARD

What you get when you log in

Every module explains itself. The full list of what is inside is on the SEO tools page.

Help videos

Short videos on each screen walk you through the task in front of you.

YOUR WEEK IN ELEV8TOR

What to do each week, in about an hour

You do not need to live in the software. Here is the routine we suggest to owners, and the app is laid out to support it.

01

Check the home screen

Clicks, your visibility score and any alerts from the nightly checks, all on one screen.

02

Open What to work on next

Take the top item. It is ranked by how much it is likely to be worth.

03

Follow How to fix

Make the change on your site using the steps in the item, then mark it done.

04

Look at your leads

See which pages brought calls and forms this week, and which brought none.

05

Improve one page

Pick a page that should bring leads and does not. Check it against the pages that rank.

06

Read your report

A weekly summary arrives by email so you can see progress without logging in.

LEADS AND CONVERSIONS

See which pages bring calls and form fills

Traffic is not the goal. Customers are. Install the free elev8tor connector on your WordPress site and paste one connection code. It records forms from Gravity Forms, Elementor Pro, Contact Form 7, WPForms and other common form plugins, plus phone taps, email taps and WooCommerce orders.

Each lead shows the page it came from, the search or ad that brought the visitor, and how sure the source is: confirmed, tagged, estimated or unknown. We never guess the channel from a “how did you hear about us” field. The connector also sends each lead to Google Analytics 4 as a conversion, and it never sends names, emails or phone numbers to Google.

The full setup is on our lead tracking and GA4 page.

CONTENT SCANNER ADD-ON

Find out why a page is not ranking

Pick a page and the search you want it to show up for. The scanner reads the pages Google ranks for that search today and compares yours to them. It lists the topics they cover that you do not, the questions customers ask that your page leaves unanswered, and the internal links to add, with the exact sentence and words to use.

You get a Content score from 0 to 100 with a target of 70 and a ranked list of changes with the points each one is worth. When you want help, it can draft a repaired version of the page for you to review. See how it works on the content scanner page.

CHOOSING A PLAN

Starter or BYO Pro: which fits a small business

Search data costs money, and someone has to pay the data providers. The two entry plans differ in who does. Either way, users are unlimited and free, so your office manager, your web person and you can all log in. Prices are per month on monthly billing.

Starter

$69 a month, or $55 a month billed annually. The search data is included, so you sign up and start. Built for one business, with room for every website you verify.

  • Unlimited verified sites (3 unverified), unlimited users
  • 500 tracked keywords updated weekly, plus 100 checked daily
  • 750 research credits and 10,000 audit pages a month
  • 25 AI visibility prompts, nothing to set up

BYO Pro

$49 a month, or $39 a month billed annually. Bring Your Own Data: you connect your own DataForSEO, Google and Claude accounts and pay those providers directly.

  • Unlimited verified sites (5 unverified), unlimited users
  • Your logo on reports
  • Lower software fee, plus your own data bills
  • Best if you or someone on staff is comfortable with API keys

Our honest advice: if the words API key make you nervous, choose Starter. The Content Scanner is an add-on to either plan, or can be bought on its own, paid in credits: $1.50 a scan pay as you go, or Scanner 50 at $59 a month if you rewrite pages every week. Lead tracking is included on every plan. See every limit on the pricing page.

DO IT YOURSELF OR HAVE IT DONE

Under $300 a month for the software, or hand it to the people who built it

A monthly SEO service from an agency starts near $1,000 because a person owns the outcome. Software should cost a fraction of that and say so. Starter at $69 plus Scanner 150 at $149 plus the Autopilot 8 add-on (early access) at $69 is $287 a month: the research, eight written and scored posts, the links wired in and the publishing done through your own WordPress connection, with no plugin to install. You approve the queue and read the report. The math is laid out on the SEO software pricing guide.

If you would rather not approve drafts or pick keywords at all, say so. Vertical Web, the Houston agency that built elev8tor and runs it on its own clients, sells the done for you version. Ask from the contact page and we will tell you which one fits; sometimes that is the cheaper one. Not on WordPress? Everything but publishing works on any site; see platforms we support.

Do it yourself: about $287 a month

  • Starter $69: 500 tracked keywords, 750 research credits, 10,000 audit pages
  • Scanner 150 $149: scans, briefs, written pages and repairs
  • Autopilot 8 $69 (early access): 8 posts a month, published through your WordPress connection in the mode you set
  • You approve the queue, glance at the report, answer the leads

Done for you: from about $1,000 a month

  • A strategist owns the outcome and the calendar
  • Human review of every page, link building, Google Business Profile
  • A call each month and a plan for the next one
  • The same elev8tor console, with a person driving it

BEYOND GOOGLE'S BLUE LINKS

Show up where customers search now

More customers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google’s AI Overview before they click anything. elev8tor shows which of your searches trigger an AI Overview, which sites it cites, and whether AI crawlers can read your pages at all. The method is on our AI search optimization page. For a full health check of your site, start with an SEO audit.

Comparing options? We wrote a fair Semrush alternative comparison that says where the larger suite is the better fit. And if you work with a marketing agency, they can run your site from our agency SEO platform and send you white label SEO reporting under their own brand.

Frequently asked questions

Most owners start with Starter, which includes the search data and unlimited sites verified in Google Search Console (up to 3 unverified). BYO Pro costs less but needs your own DataForSEO, Google and Claude API accounts, so it suits owners who already have them or have a technical person on hand. Both include unlimited free users. Full pricing is on the pricing page.

Yes. The free elev8tor connector for WordPress records forms, phone taps, email taps and WooCommerce orders with the page and source behind each one, and sends them to GA4 as conversions. It works on every plan, including the free demo for one site.

It scores one page for one keyword against the pages Google ranks today and gives you a ranked list of changes, including missing topics, unanswered questions and the internal links to add. It is an add-on to any paid plan, or can be bought on its own as Content Scanner only, paid in credits only when you use it, from $1.50 a scan. It runs on our servers.

There is a free demo with a sample business, capped data and 5 real Content Scanner scans you can run on your own pages, one time. Paid plans have a 7-day trial with a card required.

No, and nobody honest can promise that. elev8tor shows you what the pages Google ranks today have that yours does not, and what to fix first. The work and the results are yours.

Try it free with a sample business

The free demo opens a full workspace for a sample company, Summit Ridge Roofing. Lists stop at 25 rows and paid data is capped, and you can still connect lead tracking on one site of your own.
